Robinhood began as a commission-free trading app and has evolved into a major player in fintech, with strong traction in crypto. As of mid-2025, Robinhood supports over 25 million funded accounts and more than $220 billion in assets. Crypto trading now represents a significant portion of the platform’s activity and revenue, reflecting its strategic shift toward digital assets.

Crypto and Staking Offerings

Robinhood is rapidly expanding its crypto capabilities, with several major updates announced in June 2025:

• Crypto Staking (U.S.):
  Robinhood now allows users to earn staking rewards on Ethereum and Solana directly through the app. This move brings staking earnings to a mainstream audience in a fully custodial, regulated environment.
• Perpetual Futures (EU):
  Users in the European Union can access crypto perpetual futures with up to 3x leverage, starting with Bitcoin and Ethereum.
• Tokenized Stocks (EU):
  Robinhood is also launching tokenized U.S. equities for EU users, powered by Arbitrum, allowing near 24/5 trading of major U.S. assets onchain.
• Own Blockchain Initiative:
  Robinhood is reportedly building its own blockchain infrastructure to further integrate tokenized assets, crypto rewards, and user wallets—indicating deeper plans for native crypto financial products.

Yield & Rewards Potential

While Robinhood does not yet offer traditional stablecoin interest accounts, its staking features are a key on-ramp into crypto yield products for retail users. With regulated staking, Robinhood provides:

• Auto-managed staking rewards without needing to self-custody
• Transparent reward mechanisms for ETH and SOL
• Institutional custody and regulatory compliance

These staking offerings set the foundation for potential deposit-token or stablecoin savings products as U.S. regulation matures.
